12/15/2011 - Time: 11:00 - 13:00 - LMC is a charter school in Little Havana. The kids want to give to their community, so we offered to have a toy drive for kids in need. We would like to have materials asap to give them time to collect, and have Marines come in to the cafeteria during lunch on 12/15/11 to pick up toys and say hello to the kids. It would mean the world to these inner city kids to see the impact of their contributions to the community being rewarded by sch esteemed and respected citizens such as Marine officers.

12/11/2011 - Time: 12:30 - 02:30 - My daugher is requesting that her friends (approx 25) bring unwrapped toys for Toys For Tots instead of gifts for her. If there is a marine available to pick up the toys during the party, I think that would show the kids what a good deed they did. However, I know there are much bigger events that need the marines more. In that case, I will just drop them off at the closest drop off center in my area. Thank you for your time.

12/10/2011 - Time: 17:10 - 17:30 - Florida East Coast Railway is having the 2nd annual Christmas Train operate from Jacksonville to Miami. This train will be stopping at 8 cities delivering 400 toys to each location. We will need Marines in uniform with a big enough vehicle to receive these toys for your distribution.The train will arrive at NE 87TH STREET FEC CROSSING on the west side of the railroad tracks.

12/8/2011 - Time: 03:30 - 06:00 - This is the fourth annual Holiday event for the Miami-Dade County PCCl, holiday networking event. We have always been extremely successful in collecting at least 6-7 full bins/large toys for tots boxes of toys for Toys for Tots, as our guests are always very generous. The Marines have been a part of our event for the past 3 years and the Postal Service has partnered with them for many years with the Toys for Tots program. Dinner will be provided for the two Marines who attend.

12/7/2011 - Time: 18:30 - 20:00 - Alpha Gamma Kappa, a student organization within the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, will be hosting a dinner to encourage toy donations. We (or a representative from your organization) will give a brief overview about Toys for Tots and then anyone who brings an unopened, unwrapped toy for donation will enjoy a Christmas meal. We expect that we will collect at least 50 toys.

Our Town Council turn on all the lights at the Town Hall area and give out prizes for a tree decorating contest, Santa arrives on a Fire Truck after a Horse parade presented by the South Fla Trail Riders. Santa gives out candy and sits for photos inside our Council Chambers, other activies include a snow area for kids and our Rodeo arena is filled with bounce houses, carnival stuff, vendors, food, etc. Free event

The only definite estimate I can give you is from our staff (approximately 200), but we have the support of our neighboring stores, and especially the toy stores in the mall, of which have provided us coupons to give to customers.
